Around the Carpe Diem Marketing office, this summer is all about growth, both in our expansion objectives and hiring. William, our firm’s Director of Operations, explained, “We’re focused on recruiting driven college graduates. This is the time to be proactive and teach motivated grads all the essentials of making it in the real world. We train our newest hires in how the business works, successful marketing techniques, and essential people skills.”
There are a few proven ways for recent graduates to find their footing in a new job, all of which William encourages new members of Team Carpe Diem Marketing to utilize. Perhaps the most important is to shadow people who already know the ropes. The Director remarked, “New hires who take notes and follow the coaching process every step of the way quickly gain confidence.”
College grads in new jobs also need to ask lots of questions if they want to accelerate their development. William added, “This is definitely encouraged around our office, because posing open-ended questions serves a couple of key functions. Not only does it give new hires uniquely helpful perspectives, it also helps them get to know their more seasoned colleagues. This leads to stronger morale throughout the entire office.”
